US-based industrial tools and safety equipment provider S&K Industrial has installed a Gorbel Tether Track Fold-Away Fall Protection System inside an interior loading dock.
The fold-away fall protection system is designed to provide operators with the necessary protection without interfering with crane access or production flow.
The deployable overhead system provides secure fall protection when in use, folds away when not needed, and offers full access to cranes to keep operations running at full speed.
S&K Industrial partnered with Gorbel, a US-based manufacturer of overhead material handling equipment, to provide smart, purpose-built safety solutions to industrial sites.
S&K Industrial, in a LinkedIn post, said: “Just wrapped up a Gorbel Tether Track Fold-Away Fall Protection System install, inside an interior loading dock, giving operators the protection they need without interfering with crane access or production flow.
“This deployable overhead system is built for efficiency and convenience. When in use, it provides secure fall protection. When not needed, it folds away, allowing full access to cranes to keep operations running at full speed.
“At S&K Industrial, we partner with Gorbel to bring smart, purpose-built safety solutions to industrial environments.”
According to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations, all workers working at elevations above four feet from the ground must use engineered fall protection.
Gorbel said its fall protection systems provide reliable and cost-effective overhead fall protection and reduce the risk of injury in elevated work environments.
Its Tether Track Fold Away Systems are designed to provide convenient overhead fall protection when extended without sacrificing productivity.
They are intended for facilities that must be regularly maintained, as these systems can be easily moved from the work environment when a fall protection system is not essential.
