US-based Level Crane Systems announced that its 20t capacity bridge crane has been deployed at California State University’s new Equity Innovation Hub.
According to the company, the bridge crane with two 10t hoists was designed and engineered as a flexible lifting solution for the university’s new facility.
Level Crane Systems, in a LinkedIn post, stated: “Level Crane Systems is proud to be a part of the new Equity Innovation Hub at California State University, Northridge.
“This 20t capacity bridge crane with two 10t hoists was designed and engineered by Level as a flexible lifting solution to support university students and their education.
“Thank you, R&M Materials Handling for your ongoing support as a provider of high-quality overhead crane components.”
Established in 2001, Level Crane Systems has decades of expertise in addressing the lifting challenges faced by startups and growing companies.
According to the company, bridge cranes are engineered to facilitate the lifting and transportation of materials across expansive areas, offering three-dimensional movement.
The bridge cranes facilitate vertical lifting, horizontal travel across the bridge, and longitudinal movement along the runway.
They are widely used in industrial environments such as manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and assembly lines due to their efficiency in material handling.
Bridge cranes are broadly categorised into two types based on their design and application.
The Top Running Bridge Cranes are mounted on top of the runway beams for heavy-duty lifting operations with capacities ranging from 1 to 150 tons.
The Underhung Bridge Cranes are suspended from either ceiling or floor-supported runways for lighter-duty applications, with capacities typically ranging from ¼ ton to 10 tons.
Recently, Level Crane Systems partnered with R&M Materials Handling to launch a customised overhead crane system equipped with automated controls.
R&M Materials Handling is a provider of high-quality overhead crane components.
The crane system was designed for accurate lifting and positioning of filter cartridges and enables repeatable operations without manual intervention.
