US-based material handling equipment provider All Material Handling (AMH) announced that its hoists, including the LA series and MA series of hoists contain significant US content.
Both product lines incorporate US-made load chains and are assembled and tested in the US, reflecting AMH’s commitment to domestic manufacturing.
The LA series hoists are available in various lift lengths with capacities ranging from 0.75t to 10t. Similarly, the MA series offers capacities from 0.5t to 30t, also in any lift length.
Both series are readily available for shipment from AMH warehouses, even for the larger 20t and 30t units.
AMH offers the option to retrofit several hoist capacities with self-locking hooks, which are gaining traction as a preventive measure against OSHA citations.
The hooks provide a secure alternative to traditional forged latches, which, despite their durability, can be more prone to detachment during rigorous use.
To address another common OSHA citation, AMH equips its lever hoists with stainless steel nameplates that have the necessary ASME/OSHA warnings etched onto them.
In addition, a one-directional slip clutch provides overload protection, ensuring safe load lowering in case of an incident.
AMH CEO Peter Brettner said: “While there are plenty of options out there for good quality hoists, trying to find one with significant American content can be a challenge.
“AMH has always believed in creating and supporting American jobs. This is why our LA and MA series hoists use US-made load chains; and why we assemble and test the hoists here in the US.
“We are one of the only companies in the US who can offer such a broad range of products with American content, from inventory – meaning shorter lead times and faster fulfilment.”
AMH has introduced a USA Content Calculator to help customers assess the domestic content of each LA and MA hoist.
The tool, available upon request, helps determine compliance with Buy American Act product requirements, based on hoist capacity and load chain amount.
AMH operates through a network of distributors and channel partners, and warehouses and service centres in Atlanta, Georgia, Des Moines, Iowa, Houston, Texas, and Portland, Oregon.
