At ProMat 2025, G.W. Becker will showcase its latest packaged crane projects, highlighting two recent installations of top-running, single-girder bridge cranes: a 5t and a 10t model. Built to meet modern manufacturing needs and high industry standards, these cranes represent reliable, adaptable and high-performance solutions. Designed with 60ft spans and 20ft lifts, they are engineered to offer maximum flexibility and operational efficiency. These cranes comply with CMAA, ANSI/ASME, OSHA and NEC standards, ensuring safety, performance and compliance. All cranes are also built to CMAA Specification Class A, B, C, D, E or F.

The 5t top running single girder crane is equipped with a 7.2 HP motor, offering a hoist speed of 20ft per minute, while the 10t top running single girder crane features a 14.8 HP motor, designed to handle larger loads. Both cranes utilise VFD controls for smooth, adjustable speeds, combined with DC disc brakes for safe and reliable stopping. They are built to meet CMAA Class C duty ratings, supporting general-purpose indoor service under various operational conditions. The engineering team collaborated closely with the client to tailor the crane designs to meet specific requirements, ensuring safe and efficient load handling.

What sets G.W. Becker apart is its full-service approach. It provides end-to-end support, from engineering and manufacturing to installation, testing and training. For these cranes, it not only handled manufacturing and installation but also provided operator training and load testing to ensure optimal performance. Throughout the project, its engineering and field service teams worked together to ensure everything, from load limits to control configurations, met the client’s operational needs. After installation, it continued its commitment to support through ongoing maintenance, inspections and any additional services required.

Lifting with precision: innovative solutions for modern industries.

G.W. Becker’s packaged crane line brings the reliability and performance of custom-built cranes, but with more efficient lead times and greater cost-effectiveness. These pre-engineered systems are available in various configurations, including different spans, lifts and load capacities, allowing clients to choose the ideal solution for their needs. With reduced lead times and streamlined engineering, its packaged cranes provide a fast turnaround without sacrificing quality, making them an attractive option for clients who need dependable lifting solutions quickly.

The company’s packaged hazardous-duty cranes meet NEMA, OSHA and NEC standards for Division 1 and 2, Class 1 and 2 hazardous locations. Built with spark-resistant materials like copper and stainless steel, they use explosion-proof technology for safety in volatile conditions. Configurations include single and double-girder bridges, supporting up to 80t with options for wire rope or chain hoists.

Beyond cranes, G.W. Becker offers a wide range of products designed to meet diverse industrial needs. These include electric hoists, winches, trolley hoist, and various crane components. It also provides solutions for hazardous environments, mill-duty applications and offers custom modifications to ensure each system performs as required. Its products are engineered to deliver high performance, reliability and long-term value across a variety of industries.

G.W. Becker’s overhead crane range includes custom or packaged double-girder or single-girder cranes and custom gantry, automated and patented track cranes – each designed to address specific operational needs. It also provides free-standing runway systems that can be fully customised to accommodate various span, lift and capacity requirements. For material handling, workstation cranes offer safe, high-strength, low-weight solutions, while jib cranes offer flexible configurations that are free-standing, wall-mounted or articulating.

In addition to crane manufacturing, G.W. Becker offers a full suite of services to support clients throughout the life cycle of the equipment. These include preventive maintenance, routine inspections, emergency repairs, operator training and parts support. Its field service team is available for both on-site maintenance and remote support, and inspections are designed to detect issues before they lead to downtime or costly repairs. Investing in these services ensures that each crane continues to operate efficiently, maximising uptime and productivity.
