The decision was made during the recent 2024 MHI Spring Meeting, at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC, an event that brings together supply chain professionals from across the industry, which also featured educational sessions, networking opportunities, and Industry Group membership meetings.
The co-chairs or group leaders of the Overhead Alliance have been announced as Dustin Krauth, national sales manager, TC/American Crane Company and Laura Antenucci, marketing manager, US & Canadian markets, Demag Cranes & Components.
“Bringing these groups together will help to maintain consistent membership across the industry groups which will help us provide stronger content to our end users,” said Krauth.
"Uniting the marketing groups of CMAA, HMI, and MMA will allow us to promote overhead lifting as a whole and take advantage of synergies across the groups. I’m excited to work with the industry group members who will come with their ideas to promote their groups and the overall industry," added Antenucci.
The structure will be for the vice presidents of each group (CMAA VP, Molly Wood, engineering manager, ACE Industries; HMI VP, Damian Mulcahy, director, sales US & Canada, R&M Materials Handling and MMA VP, Jeff Brazwell,president/CEO, Spanco) to report to the Overhead Alliance as champions for their respective groups. Since the role of VP is for two years, the structure will ensure each group is represented and there is a term limit and automatic refill of the position. Leadership positions within the Overhead Alliance will be announced soon. At the Spring Meeting, MHI also hosted a networking event and dinner at NASCAR Hall of Fame and CMAA voted in two new companies; American Equipment Systems and Lift Solutions.
